a cherry and curly maple dining room
we just finished a cherry and curly maple dining room in what we refer to as our ‘studio style’. that style is typically a combination of natural and/or stained woods, combined with painted details. it has historic roots in the beidermeier style from germany in the mid 1800’s, but we have added our interpretation to the details and designs. the 3rd photo of this series shows a sideboard, mirror, and part of a table and chair, made in 1987, for the dining room of my own home. this client liked a table that i made for her brother around 1990 and waited until she had a new house to commission her own version of his dining room … there are more (and larger) process photos and construction details on my dorset csutom furniture blog. also, we are very busy at the moment and there is another post i just wrote describing what else we’re working on and what’s coming up next … check it out if you have a minute …
