Anniversary Clock
This is my 9th clock – M9 – Anniversary Clock. It was designed as a gift for a friend’s 20th wedding anniversary. All of my previous clocks have been large and weight driven. My experience at craft shows tells me to produce a smaller clock. Here it is! This clock is driven by a 2 transistor electro-mechanical pendulum that can run on 2 AA batteries. The escapement is actually a ratchet drive. Time keeping is near perfect. Overall dimensions are 13″x15″x23″. Construction is solid hardwoods including quarter sawn walnut (gears), figured birch, wenge, brown ebony, Gabon ebony, chechen, purple heart and palm nuts. The crystal in the topping is Sworevski. Finish is handrubbed tung with hard wax.
