World Religious Symbols for our Church
At our church we created a set of seven framed symbols of the world religions to hang in our temple. After we selected the appropriate symbols I transferred the designs to AutoCAD and then cut all the parts from 3/4″ MDF and 1/4″ ply on a CNC router. Some of the symbols were simple, some complex. The cross is a very simple piece, the Buddhist wheel includes 18 separate pieces and two specialty jigs, again all cut on the CNC. The curved arches of the frames were cut on the CNC then attached to the legs with a Kreg jig. The completed assemblies were then painted, hung and ceremonially installed. It was both a fun and inspiring project….Paul Staley

I am sorry but CNC machine work using MDF is manufacturing not Fine Woodworking !
Sorry, but the Star of David is not a symbol of Judaism. It is a symbol of the State of Israel and, in fact, is on her flag. The Menorah (kind of like a candelabra) is the symbol of Judaism. When the Romans sacked Jerusalem, they commemorated the victory by sculpting archways, obelisks, etc. in Rome showing Roman soldiers carrying off a Menorah. Nice work, though.
