Executive Desk
This Executive desk has been comissioned for a private collection. After I finished designing I mentioned to my client about Cuban Mahagony (Swietenia Mahagoni). After his approval I searched for Cuban Mahagony. After a long search I manged to find the wood and I had the pleasure to work with it in making such a piece. The file cabinets are joined with secret-miter dovetail and throughout the construction various traditional joints are used such as Mortis and Tenon, Sliding Dovetail, half-blind dovetail. The inlays and pulls are ebony.
P.S. Please let me know if you would like to aquire any information about secret-miter dovetail. I’ll be willing to share my own way of cutting them.
