I learned how to do the dovetail with issue #116 of Fine Woodworking by the experts Tage Frid and Chris Becksvoort. Same thing about the cabriole legs in issue #144 by expert Lonnie Bird. After several hours practicing the techniques to master it, I began working on this table of “French Regency era” inspiration. The Regency era is set between the reigns of Louis XIV and Louis XV. The table measurements are: height: 27¾ in., depth: 23¾ in., width: 32½ in. It’s mainly build with Yellow Birch and the inner drawer is with White Pine. It’s all assemble with Tenon and  pegged Mortise. Top is fixed by crossed pegs. No glue, screw or nail have been employed in the assembly. That’s why I wonder how the drawers were assembled by the French woodworkers of that era. I know that in French Canada we were using forged nails. The table is polished with linseed oil and bee wax.
