log foosball table with a polished playing field and walls
i liked this game when i was younger and recently i played on a table just like the one we use to play on .i noticed that we were moving the table around a lot as we played.but found that i missed the game a lot .so i checked around for a table that was more stable and had enough weight to keep the table stable when four guys are competing.and wont to Winn!!!I chose logs for the weight and stout factor.and alum play field and walls for speed durability.and bent the four corners so that there were no seems in the field. i used solid 5/8 rods and sealed stainless steel precision bearings to Gide and support the rods instead of the standard nylon bushings found on 90%of the tables.witch made. the rods are smooth and have great response.I used branches cut on the band saw for score boards so that it looked like a stick when slid together. you serve the ball on a branch that i left on both side slabs and when you score a goal the ball travels through a tub and through the log legs onto a branch on each side .mitering the logs at each end was the biggest challenge.I chose to use pool table adjustable pool table casters they are recessed into the log legs so that you cant even see them when it is set up on a level floor. all and all it is a great table and gets played every day at the local man cave i am currently building a pool table to match it hope to post them photos soon thank for looking folks and have a wooderfull day
