Coffee Table

After a house fire last year the coffee table I had was destroyed so I had to build myself a new one. The tiger maple used for the top reminded me of ripples in a stream and so it needed some floating leaves. Took the time to try varying grain direction with each section of leaf. Finish is tung oil and additionally the top is finished with polycrylic. Not something I would normally use but wanted something that was water based and dried totally clear.
