More Curves
An Incomplete work, But you get the idea.
This kitchen is in Maple stained with a Molasses no wipe stain from ML Campbell
Shaker doors, Baltic birch drawers and Blum tandem soft close slides.
Malimine carcasses. The island will have a raised eating bar. The concave corner unit will have a corner sink installed.
The radius door fits the custumers round belly perfectly. we make all our corner units with a standard curved door which is quite comfortable to work with. It adds just a little bit more counter space that surprisingly to our customers goes a long way. With 170 degree hinges, both upper and base cabinets are actually easier to get into and looks pretty cool as well.
The curved end cabinet serves as a small liquor cabinet.
The island is all drawers, the door on the left is a pull out garbage that holds two medium size containers. A curved island adds alot for look appeal but you do loose that “pie” shaped space which could serve as a wine rack on the front if desired.
Whenever you are dealing with curves you do lose some functionality and often need to modify to suit hardware meant for boring square boxes.
I love the challenge that comes with radius cabinets and would love to hear your comments, critique, or suggestions.
There are not many shops dedicated to this style of building but there is a saying in our shop that is “people are tired of square cabinets, they just don’t know it yet” Until thet meet us.
Thanks for looking!
