Router Jig + Set-up Jig
Router Jig + Set-up Jig
The Router jig is designed to do Dados, Rabbets, Lap joints and through slots. Width capacity is up to 300mm (12”) wide and vertical adjustment allows for 3/4” to 3 1/2” thick. Thinner wood and through slots can be cut with packing under the workpiece.
Cutting width for lap joints is up to 2 3/4′.
To prevent damage to the Jig and to prevent tear-out on the workpiece the face of the front and rear fences are fitted with pieces of wood that can be replaced.
The Set-up Jig is for setting the position of the right hand guide on the Router Jig. Fully extended the jig is the same width as the router base. By placing the router bit in the jig and adjusting the sliding piece, the width of the jig is reduced by the width of the bit.
The Set-up Jig is then placed between the guides of the Router Jig and the wood that is to fit into the intended cut-out in the workpiece is placed beside it and the right hand guide knobs tightened.
By routing in a clockwise direction up the left guide and back down the right will give an exact fit.
The flat area with the hole at the end of the set-up jig is for setting the back stop on the router jig
