We needed a pair of foot rests for watching TV. And I had recently got a lathe so I set about building these. The legs are walnut and the sides maple. It was a simple design and a simple process except getting 8 identitcal legs was more difficult than I thought. I am pleased with them and they work very well.

I enjoyed the turning. I went for a more flowing look mainly because my turning is not that good.

Under the maple sides I put a strip of thin walnut and let it protrude by about 3mm to add some interest.
