Marquetry Rose Jewelry Box
This is a jewelry box made for a Relay For Life auction at my work place. I made the rose with thin veneer and cut each piece with an exacto knife. I made the joints with the Fast Joint system. The finish is two coats of shellac and three coats of Endurovar, brushed not sprayed. Believe it or not this is my second attempt at marquetry. It did take me several tries on a few of the pieces to get them right. This was a very fun piece to do and am looking forward to challenging myself in marquetry.
