Mahogany End Table( fun with veneers)
This was a fun project. The table is 21″X14.5″X24″ high. Made of African Mahogany. The legs have holly and mahogany burl veneer inlays. The aprons are mahogany with walnut veneer banding. The top is a MDF substrate covered with Crotch Mahogany veneer and walnut veneer banding. The fans are made of sand shaded maple, black dyed veneer and holly. The shelf is solid Mahogany with another fan inlay. It is finished with a oil and urethane mix brushed and rubbed on.

Excellent piece. I am curious if you used any particular period piece as your inspiration?
Wow! That is beautiful.
Hi,
Thanks for the kind words. No particular period piece, just a combination of several Federal pieces that I've seen.
It's a beautiful piece. What kind of oil are you using and how do you mix the oil with the urethane??
I do small projects with veneers and a lot of grecas. I like your table.
