18th-Century French-style Dining Table
Woodworker: Rob Anderson
Rob Anderson crafted this 18th-century French dining table working nights and weekends. The piece uses koa for the legs and solid edging. The table and aprons are MDF veneered with pommele sapele, satinwood, and purpleheart. Ormalu metalwork embellishes the knees and ankles. Made of gilt bronze, Ormolu was common in 18th-century French furniture and served as both decoration and protection.
