Arch-Leg Table
Woodworker: Mark Schofield
Inspired by the span of a concrete bridge, the arched legs of this tableĀ are made from steam-bent ash, with a third arch cut into quarters to support the ends of the table. To fix the diameter of the arch, picture-hanging wire is connected to threaded brass inserts glued into the arches. The whole table was bleached with two-part wood bleach, and then the cross-braces and the end supports were dyed black.
