Glenn Thompson’s Art Deco-style coffee table features an ellipse within an ellipse. Pommele sapele and fiddleback makore provide an interesting contrast in design, and help delineate the outer ellipse. The elliptical pattern was made using computer drafting equipment. Cherry and ebony are also used in the table’s construction. The finish is clear varnish (top and drawer) and black lacquer (base).
