Arts and Crafts Cabinet
Woodworker: Debey Zito
Zito, a woodworker for more than 20 years, prefers simplicity in her furniture forms. The subtle curves in her cabinet’s door rails and bottom apron, as well as the soft taper in the columns, echo that philosophy. The cabinet, made of black walnut, was a team effort. Nickel-plated handles, which mimic the overall form of the piece, were made by Audel Davis. The pussy-willow details in the upper door panels were carved and gilded by Terry Schmitt. The finish is Tried & True Linseed Oil.
