Arts and Crafts-style Tallboy Chest

Brown based the construction and design of this piece on a chest of drawers he remembered as a child. The tallboy features a dovetailed base with a cloud-lift motif on the front base molding and decorative square pegs — all add visual interest to an otherwise unadorned case. The piece has a birch carcase and a pine face frame and drawer fronts. It is finished with stain and polyurethane.
