Asian-style Chest
Woodworker: Seth Janofsky
This tansu-style chest-on-chest is made by using pinned box joints. Square broad tabs interlock at the cormers of this solid white oak chest. Because of the lack of a long-grain gluing surface, each tab is pinned to add mechanical strength. Janofsky used a Japanese dovetail saw for the initial cuts.
