Asian-style Chest
Woodworker: Mark Walker
This small tansu chest, only 2 ft. wide, was made out of recycled wood from a California wine cask. The piece also features recycled hardware that was custom made using hand-forged 16-penny iron nails. The chest has recessed drawers and chamfered dividers to add visual interest. The chest is made from redwood, Port Orford cedar, maple, and iron. It is finished with oil.
