Woodworker: Richard Bittner
This cherry bench started out from a childhood memory of a favorite rocking chair. Bittner gave the arms of the bench a slight twist by shaping them to flare out and then turn inward, giving a feeling of intimacy. The bench is upholstered with cotton fabric and foam, and finished with oil and varnish.
