Blackwood Chair
Woodworker: Jason Waldron
Design inspiration for this Australian blackwood chair came from early Australian colonial furniture and the work of Italian designer and architect Gio Ponti. Waldron steam-bent the back splats and used the color-tinged water left over from the process to dye the cotton webbing for the seat. The finish is teak oil.
