Bow-arm Side Chair
Woodworker: Whit McLeod
McLeod crafted this bow-arm chair from quartersawn white oak staves that were once wine barrels. McLeod steamed the staves and pressed them flat with an old plywood press. The staves were then kiln dried and milled for use. The dark color on the back posts is red wine that had soaked into the wood from its prior use.
