Bubinga and Curly Maple Desk with a Walnut Chair

Because a large desk can overpower a room, Reiten designed this one to have a lighter feel. He raised the drawer bank and added negative space above it, giving the legs a more slender look. These elements combine so the desk can “sit in a room without taking it over.” The bubinga and curly maple desk is finished with an oil/varnish mix, as is the walnut chair.
