Woodworker: Allen Bixby
Bixby built this table to experiment with a veneering technique he read about in Fine Woodworking (#111, pp. 40-44). The tabletop is veneered with 18 leaves of rosewood with solid rosewood banding over 3/4-in.-thick plywood substrate. The legs are 15 laminations, mostly of rosewood. The table has a lacquer finish.
