Cherry Secretary

Woodworker: Andy FawcettFawcett harvested most of the cherry for this Pennsylvania secretary (20 in. deep by 38 in. wide by 90 in. tall) from his family farm. Although his father never saw the finished desk, Fawcett completed the project as a tribute to him and their time together in the shop. To finish the piece, Fawcett moved it outside each day for two weeks to darken in the sun, and then applied an oil finish, shellac, and light brown wax.
