Chinese-style Chair
Woodworker: Randolph DeMercado
The grace and fluidity of its lines belie the complexity of this chair, which is the most difficult piece that DeMercado has ever made. The chair is a reproduction of 17th-century Chinese furniture, and it and took DeMercado several years to research the project before embarking on construction. The chair is made from padauk and finished with tung oil.
