Chippendale-style Dining Chairs
Woodworker: Charles Rinehart
Adapted from a design of a Philadelphia side chair he saw in American Furniture in The Metropolitan Museum of Art (out of print), Rinehart built five of these Chippendale-style chairs. Each chair is made of mahogany and finished with a diluted dye stain, Waterlox, wiping varnish, and an asphaltum glaze.
