Woodworker: Norm Pollack
Pollack crafted this simple chisel plane in one afternoon. The plane is made from beech and features a 1-5/8-in. wide block-plane blade. Finger grooves are routed on the sides for more control. The heel of the plane is hand-shaped, and the piece is finished with oil.
