Claro Walnut and Madrone Box

Kautto, a student at Capellagården (the Swedish craft school founded by Carl Malmsten) made this box when he attended the College of the Redwoods as part of an exchange program between the two schools. Kautto felt it was important to make the box from local California woods and to convey the design philosophy of the College of the Redwoods. The claro walnut and madrone box is finished with shellac.
