Woodworker: Don Gray
Don Gray crafted this shoe-changing bench from solid claro walnut. The swirly grain was challenging, but he managed to rough out the curved parts with handplanes, refining the shapes further with a round-bottom plane and a scraper. The finish is an oil-based polyurethane.
