Woodworker: John P. McCormack
McCormack built this piece as a student at the North Bennet Street School. He based it on a John-Cogswell-attributed chest in the Museum of Fine Arts Boston collection. The foot carving, however, is closer to that of another New England cabinet maker, Eliphalet Chapin.
