Copper Cabinet-on-Stand
Woodworker: Michael J. Boillot
Boillot crafted this cabinet on stand as part of a free-form design class at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Maine. Since he works as a jeweler, the copper work wasn’t too difficult. He applied it with solder and hammering techniques. The building process took about 80 hours using copper, cherry, spalted maple, and wenge. He finished it with gel stain and lacquer.
