Corner Cabinet
Woodworker: Michael Cohen
Cohen’s corner-cabinet design was inspired by the work of Thomas Moser. To set his piece apart, Cohen used quartersawn wood in white oak. This gives the cabinet a ray-flake figure and continuity at the corners. White oak plywood was also used in construction of the cabinet. In order to highlight the flake of the wood, Cohen finished the piece with mineral oil and butcher’s wax.
