This Creole-style petite armoire is made of cypress. “From 1725 to 1825, this style was indigenous to the Mississippi River Valley,” Arceneaux notes, “and now can be seen only in private collections and museums because there are so few surviving pieces.” The armoire has a Danish-oil and wax finish.
