Woodworker: Senior and Carmichael

This dining table, produced by Senior and Carmichael (England), features a bronze and steel winding mechanism that, as the table is rotated by hand, opens the top so that wedge-shaped leaves can be inserted. The table, worth $46,000, is made of walnut and burr walnut.
