Doll Cabinet
Woodworker: Peter Jensen
Jensen’s cherry doll cabinet borrows from classical architecture. The gabled pediment and base pilasters evoke a Greek temple. The fan — applied, not carved — was added to soften the harshness of the pediment. Though cherry is the primary component, Jensen also fashioned the glass doors and used brass hardware to complete the cabinet. It is finished with oil and lacquer.
