“Eames” Table
Woodworker: Seth Deysach
This table was built to sit next to an original Eames lounge chair. Janet Rooney, of j rooney design, created the design to complement the mid-20th-century style of the iconic chair. Then Deysach was commissioned to build it. He used MDF and poplar as substrates under the Santos rosewood veneer and lined the drawers with leather. The finish is catalyzed lacquer and wax.

I really like this design, very clean. I would have been tempted to place the cutouts on the drawerfronts on different sides but think it looks best as you have it. How are the corners joined? Are they mitered? Is there a back?
