Federal Secretary
Woodworker: Unknown
Federal casework, so expertly showcased in this secretary (circa 1775-1815), was often built in Boston and Boston’s North Shore. The makers of the era relied heavily on the use of highly figured, contrasting veneers, which added great visual interest to their pieces.
