Federal-style Chest of Drawers

Kirstine built this nine-drawer chest for his daughter and son-in-law. The Federal-style chest is constructed of alder. The drawer fronts feature California black-oak banding and walnut stringing. The same two wood species are inlaid on the top to form a decorative border. The piece has a lacquer finish.
