Farr made this rocking chair from veneer-grade sapele that was mistakenly sawn into lumber. The design of the rocker evolved from a four-slat chair to this eight-slat version, in which the lower lumbar curve was accentuated and strengthened. The chair also uses wenge and is finished with a satin lacquer.
