Woodworker: Steve Casey

Southern California Steve Casey was a professional custom cabinetmaker specializing in home theater systems for 25 years before setting out to build this contemporary piece for his own home. The back panel is comprised of three parts that bolt together and hang on the wall. The cabinets, drawer boxes, and TV frame are then mounted to the back panel. The piece was constructed out of mahogany veneer plywood and solid mahogany trim. The drawers are made from pre-finished maple plywood, and solid maple was used for secondary wood applications.
