Free-Form Lectern
Woodworker: Mitch MandelMandel’s wife, a sixth-grade teacher, needed a lectern for her classroom, so he challenged himself to design and construct one that was simple, elegant, nontraditional, and had very few right angles. To withstand the punishment of a classroom, Mandel used poplar finished with oil-based gloss paint. The lectern is 20 in. deep by 28 in. wide by 48 in. tall. From Fine Woodworking #204
