Gazelle Table and Chairs
Woodworker: Gregg Lipton
Lipton’s Gazelle table (dimensions listed above) employs an apron integral with the top and a curvaceous leg that runs right to the top of the table. For Lipton, the leg, a modern take on the cabriole, was the defining element of the table, and he went on to design chairs, sideboards, and even a breakfront that incorporates a similar leg. (Chair dimensions are 18 in. deep by 18 in. wide by 36 in. high.)
