This reproduction Goddard-Townsend block-front secretary won Best of Show from Fine Woodworking at the 2001 Design in Wood competition at San Diego’s Del Mar Fair. The piece, made of Honduras mahogany and maple with a shellac and wax finish, took Betts approximately three years to complete.
