Goddard-Townsend-style Tall Clock

O’Brien built this tall clock on commission using the best walnut boards in his private collection. He made a full-scale drawing of John Goddard’s 1760s original pictured in Wallace Nutting’s Furniture Treasury and then downsided the proportions by 25 percent to create a shorter, more slender grandmother-style version.
