Woodworker: Herb Kean
If you look closely you’ll notice one thing missing: metal. This reproduction Stanley No. 1 was crafted by Kean using only wood. The parts that would normally be made of metal were made of Turkish boxwood, except for the castings, which are butternut. The plane even throws up chips when planing pine.
