Hepplewhite-style Server
Woodworker: James Hooper
This scaled-down version of a sideboard fits a small home perfectly. Hooper used cherry as the main wood for the piece rather than mahogany. The urn inlay is borrowed from cabinetmaker John Shaw. Conch shells and bellflowers done in satinwood provide additional visual interest. The piece is finished with orange shellac.
