This walnut hunt board won first place at the 2001 North Carolina State Fair. Built of air-dried, field-grown walnut, the piece is an adaptation of one shown in Carlyle Lynch’s Furniture Found in Virginia. The walnut was dyed, filled, and finished with Danish oil and varnish.
