Woodworker: Larry Doyle
Larry Doyle’s side chair takes its inspiration from ancient Greece. Using the Grew-Sheridan method of chairmaking, Doyle produced an updated version of the Klismos chair. The chair is made from birch, and the thongs supporting the leather-covered cushion are sewing-machine belts.
