Madrone and Claro Walnut Curved-Top Box

King made this madrone and claro walnut curved-top box for his mother, and the feet were inspired by period antiques in her house. In keeping with the rest of the box, the frame-and-panel lid is solid wood, shaped with a spokeshave and a round-bottom plane. The finish is shellac.
